Piper nigrum reverted

€14.95

The Piper nigrum is the variegated form of the Piper nigrum, also know as the black pepper plant. Its origin lies in India and the contrasting white splashes on the leaves make it a must-have for plant collectors. These particular cuttings are reverted.

Please note the little sugar 'balls' on the back of the leaf. These are called exudates and this is a natural way of the plant to release excess sugar through tiny openings in the leaves. The sugar will dry out and oxidize and will leave tiny black dots on the leaf that can be rubbed off with your fingers.
